Hey all, I own a 1998 LS400 with 115k miles on it. I just put it in for the major service and was told that the tranny oil was dirty (even though lexus should have been replacing it I bet they didnt) and that the gearbox mount is broken. I have rang Lexus who have one for about 90 bucks but my mechanic said he has one from a v8 soarer ( sc400) perhaps 91-94 model. Does anyone know if the gearbox mounts from an early LS400 or sc v8 will fit onto the 1998 gearbox even though its a 5 speed?

Hey You need to buy an expander. Japanese FM only goes to 99 or so. Go to jaycar and ask for one or go on soarer central and ask if anyone has one. I assume you just have to wire it into your loom.

the 1995+ celsior comes with 4 pot calipers. Do the US spec cars have this too?

Hi all. After becoming a gold member I have experienced great joy in the arcade room, good help in the gold member forums and I have just recieved my 5 stickers and lexus owners club coaster. Wow the coaster is nice and the stickers are worth 50 buks alone. Anyway my question is where is a good place to stick the 2 big ones and 3 small ones. Hi As shown on lexls.com i need the metal ring surround for the stock 8 inch pioneer sub " The part is described as "Speaker Assy Rear No 2" and refers to the speaker on the rear parcel shelf rather than the door speakers. The part code for this item is 86160-50100 which is almost the number in your photo. I am guessing that 86160-50010 is a manufacturing part which together with the bracket (number unknown) makes up spare part 86160-50100. " I believe the sub is part 86160-50100 but i just need the mounting bracket as shown in the picture. Someone has kindly offered me a subwoofer for just a bit over 100us so I just need a ring.

The reason why i dont want to go aftermarket is because I did own a Lexus SC before and i chopped it up with power cables and decks and amps and subs it was messy. For now i am sick of the headaches and the loose wires and ruining my boot so I want to stay stock. Also how do you hook up boxed subs to a stock deck?

I understand the stampline has been goin on for 4 months but from what I can figure out the car went missing sometime about October 2004 and only posted here in march. I do believe him for sure however i would have had a lawyer doing something within 1 month. Anyway i dont know much about this kind of stuff but for $26000 bucks I would not slack about.

The reason why i need ebay is as i am in australia and thats the only way i can pay. there is a nice one item 5794354416 and perfect price but i dont think it is free air. iF this happened 10 months ago when did you report it and how come its taken 10 months to try and do something. Sorry to be skeptical but it seems a bit funny youd sit around for 3/4 of a year without thinkin of a lawsuit

i duno i had folding mirros on my soarer and on my celsior now but really you dont use them much id rather spend the money on a nice grille or a height controller

my 89 Celsior smells damn fine like brand new leather

if anyone wins them for a decent price and realises they cannot use them as they are off a Celsior I can buy them off you as mine comes out with the folding mirrors. Does the US models come with them i am assuming not?

Hi I have found a new sub from lexus Australia for 204$. I am finding it impossible to find an 8 inch sub aftermarket to buy anywhere and It is confusing as to how i can wire up an aftermarket amplifier. Is there any gurus here?

if you cut out the air suspension switch in the boot the whole thing wont wont which means it wont even pump up in the morning. If it has a leak its got a leak. The reason to turn the swtich off is wen u jack up the car

Hi Im sure your rear air shocks have a leak. You will need to replace them which is like 900 a corner. I have read here also unplug your battery or something for 30 minutes to let everything reset try that first and if it doesnt work get new or 2nd hand ones If your lucky These will still be available http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169693 If you get them cheap it is a short term fix for your problem. I wouldnt really pay more than 200 each as they might go anyday however they might last a while. Maybe offer him 100 each see how nice he is? maybe he doesnt need the money all too much

Hi all. After searching for a while and getting caught up reading every post I didnt really find what i was looking for. My 1990 LS400/Celsior had every option except for the Nakamichi sound system. Mine is the Pioneer system. I notice I have a hole for the subwoofer but there is no sub in there. Did a sub never come with the pioneer? Are the wires ready to go for a sub or would i need to install a whole Nakamichi system. Also i read someone installed a sub with an aftermarket amp but Can this be done wired up to the factory deck? Please advise I am confused. I am happy with the pioneer sound but would like to add a free to air sub.
