  1. 17th of July in Ohau at the schofield barracks. :)
  2. 92-93 is around $2.30. We'll see about keeping it, I would like to sell it to get a CBR 600RR bike for crusing around the island and saving money on gas and maintenance and maybe later get something better/cooler than what I have like a nsx or lotus or such. But like I said we'll see. We might have to meet up down there in the ocean state.
  3. Gas there is, from what I heard, too expensive. Plus, if I need parts or maintenance, it won't be readily available. But on second thought, I would love to come down there and beat you in a race, LOL. :)
  4. I am in the army now and am going to hawaii for my duty station here on the 17th, and am in desperate need to sell my Lexus SC300, unfortunately. It is in great condition except for a few minor dents (3 to be exact). The leather is perfect and the whole car has been babied ever since I've owned it. It runs like brand new and sounds like a sleeper with a twist of race car. It has roughly 600hp and lots of mods. They go as: JDM 2jz-ge Block Turbocharger: Precision T04E-67 (P-Trim, 0.69 A/R) Boost Logic manifold Waste gate: HKS Intercooler: Spearco Large Front-Mount (28x6.5x3.5) Bypass Valve: Turbonetics “Raptor” Air Filter: K&N Transmission Oil Cooler Turbine Heat Shield Injectors: 500cc / 50lb A/F Gauge: Auto Meter Boost Gauge: Auto Meter Head Gasket: Double Stacked Supra TT Headgasket Turbo Timer: HKS Boost Controller: Blitz SBC i-D III Spark Plugs: Iridium 3330’s Head Studs: ARP Fuel Pump: Walbro 255lph ECU: Greddy E-Manage Air Flow Meter: Large SC400 Meter Ignition: MSD SCI Hose Techniques custom silicon vacuum lines Transmission: Custom Built Torque Converter: Custom Built Exhaust: Custom 2.5 inch pipe with Magnaflow mufflers and 4 inch tips Cross drilled rotors: iRotors Cross drilled and slotted Struts: Tokico Springs: Eibach Tires: Front: 245/40/19 Falkens / Rear: 245/40/19 Nitto 555's Stereo: Pioneer AVH-P7480DVD In-Dash TV/DVD Rims: Konig I am asking around $17,000 for it and would appreciate any inquires. -Jason Stovall jasonbs@texas.net or jason.stovall@us.army.mil You can go here to check out pictures of the car: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/522849.
  5. Get a camber kit. Yes, it is custom made-thanks!
  6. Your best bet is to read throughout past posts, but my advice would be to go here: http://www.daizensporttuning.com/products/camber.html. This is what I have and it worked for me.
  7. go here for all your turbo needs and questions www.boostlogic.com. they are def. the best in the us and i can testify and so can many other supra and sc owners!!! visit their website and contact them from there, they are great.
  8. i've had them for 1 year now and love them and def. notice a big difference in stopping vs. the original ones. As far as cracking, well... one has cracked, "only" b/c i did a brake burn-out for about 40 sec. with my spped showing ~60mph and the brakes locked up, but it's still good. You could probably get just two if you called them. good luck.
  9. http://www.lextasy.com/sc300_sc400_cross_d...s_1466_prd1.htm. Good stuff, $450 for all 4.
  10. Correction: that would be the j-spec not jav spec, and 2jz-gte not 2jt. The twin turbo engine can be bought here in the states also and there is no diff. but in the make of the turbos. $2900 seems fishy b/c the $ of the 2jz-gte can be around $3000 not including install plus the cheapest I have "ever" found a manual tranny is for $2500 not including install. install is not cheap b/c you also need a 2jz-gte wiring harness and computer wich are expensive also if they don't come with the engine already. There is a little bit more involved, but the point is that I think you have been mislead. Do a little bit of research on these topics as others have inquired about this also and there have been numerous responses in other threads.
  11. vs??? who's vs. looks like the vertex kit and looks pretty sweet. how did you pay if you don't mind me asking for the kit itself and where did you get it?
  12. I'll make and even trade with you... j/k :P uhh...they're pretty rare to answer your question, I think the majority of them are here in austin, lol, with 500rwhp or more (6 of them that I've seen, 3 being friends of mine). Personally I think my color combination is the rarest, but whatever.
  13. yeah, b/c it would look !Removed!, and they make the is, gs, and ls w/ 4 doors for the easy acess to the back, they need one car to look cool w/ two doors.
  14. Mine was rebuilt about 10 months ago by boost logic here in austin, tx, www.boostlogic.com . They specialize in high performance cars like suprs and suped up lexus sc's like mine. mine was rebuilt through them to hold 600hp at the wheels and i only have 480 at the wheels now, and i couldn't be anymore happier about the tranny. So, for price, it was $3200 for: high performance built tranny, torque converter, and install (tranny-$2800 torque converter-$400 install-included in price of tranny). so, $2000 for a standard built tranny by itself is maybe a little expensive, i would say ~$1500 for the tranny and install.
  15. 1. you should repalce your plugs every 3,000-5,000 miles on a turboed car because of over use of the plug. Also, I hope your using NGK 3330's. 2. I don't know about the harmonice balancer moving form it's orig. position, but yes you can take the #1 spark plug out and chack rotation. 3. It sounds like the previous owner did something wrong maybe and you need to fix it. As far as I know everyone (supra's and sc 300's) are all at base 10 and timing is controlled with the computer. For instance, mine is at 10 degrees and the timing is pulled at the computer when under boost. If you adjust the timing at the distributor, you could end up having serious problems in the long run. How much boost are you running? Are there any sings of weird things with your car like check engine light or acceleration problems? If you talk to Justin, he's here in austin and flies worldwide to tune (like japan and england) and he is reasonably priced for the satisfaction of your car being tuned "perfect", he will tell you probably to set it at 10 degrees and drive light and see how it operates from there. You probably don't need to change the distributor if there isn't any signs of damange and if you take the cap off, and look at the posts and they look fine, then more than likely your ok there. Having your timing advanced sometimes doesn't show much signs of something being wrong, the gas mileage won't be good, but a good rule of thumb is that if you know for a fact that something is wrong then start over from what you know it to be right at. LMK.
  16. I think you should set @ base timing and get your car retuned by justin nenni with tunning concepts @512) 791-4012. He's the man, trust me!!! You have a different computer...don't you, or piggy back. LMK.
  17. ahhh...yes, the little flapper, anyway, a guy I knew welded it closed to equilize pressure b/w runners, but hey what does he know... he just has 1000+hp supras all over the place and has directed me to my current 576 hp sc. Anyway, any q's? just ask away or email him at boostlogic.com, his name is chris.
  18. use the search button, i've already answered that question to someone else.
  19. I did. I got a 30,000 mile engine for $1100 shipped to my door. Nothing is different except the upper intake plenum. You have to use yours, and also the oil pan was different and I had to use mine. I have lots of extras so, I would have known if there was anything else that was different.
  20. I don't know how many RSP sc300's have been made, but yours is the 3rd one I've ever seen. You might just want to call the local lexus dealership and ask, I'm sure they'll know. Nice car though. What kind of power are you making?
  21. If you plan to get a turbo kit soon or later, then you might want to get 3 inch pipe just to save some money in the long run. I don't know how the 3 inch pipe will perform on an N/A motor with little to nothing done vs. 2.5 inch to 2.75 inch greddy exhaust for the SC. But, I'm sure you will like it, and try going with the 3 inch it will definetly help. You can always see if the shop will cut off your cat and do a straight pipe there and install a o2 sim. Not having any cats always boosts power also. Good luck.
  22. I'm sure your search button works, but anyway, yes supra exhausts work, but why buy two to get the "dual" look? And a supra exhaust is usually 3 inches or more and I'm sure your car doesn't need 3 or more so that is the end of that. As for sc exhausts, yes, they are excellent, but save some money just as I tell everyone else and do some research. You will find that going to a exhaust shop and getting them to make you pipe and buying a muffler yourself will save you about $600. Trust me. Any "real" sport car has custom exhaust. For instance, my exhaust is 3 inch to the "y" and 2.5 inch to the mufflers which are magnaflow. All for $280. Including pipe, mufflers, and install. Why pay for the name when going custom is just as good or better. Pipe is pipe and there is no major difference other than what it's made of, mine is not the "304" stainless that HKS offers , but I could have got it for another $80, but you can't see the pipe for one and two, mine is a mix of stainless and something else that won't rust. As for mufflers, you can get anything you want, I would suggest summit or something along those lines. My magnaflows sound great, not to mention I don't have any cats what so ever, and 3 inch pipe all the way to the turbo, but summit has great sounding mufflers also. A guy here in Austin has a 800whp sc300 with summit mufflers and it sounds great. So...end of lesson. Good luck.
