  1. $3.499 in CA for Chevron regular today/Saturday, nice drop.
  2. Still falling here in CA, $3.599 for Chevron regular today.
  3. Well done Toyota and Lexus, combined they had 10 of the 15 top spots.
  4. By now I assume an updated TSB is out on this, with criteria outlined to justify rebuild.
  5. As I expected, Lexus did the right thing. Thanks for letting us know outcome.
  6. I have one friend of the family that has a S2000 for his weekend car. I need to drive that thing, just because.
  7. xriddle - How did your service appointment at Lexus dealership go?
  8. I've never driven a S2000, they must be fun. I still see a lot driven around today, must be durable too.
  9. Yes, and my interest in pushrod engines has diminshed drastically.
  10. I too love the sound of semi-extotics and exotics including Porsche flat 6's, LFA, Carrera GT, Aston Martins, Lambos. I also enjoy the sound of a common Lexus IS350 with F-sport exhaust (which is how I equipped mine). Sounds similar to a Masi Ghibili 3.0 V6 tt.
  11. With a high horsepower V8 engine, like IS-F? Now that would be news! (Not to be confused with common F Sport version)
  12. Note: I think VBDenny has 2014 IS250 (3rd gen), not 2nd gen.
  13. And that's the appeal of a Mustang GT, to some at least. Old school relatively large displacement V8 power with most of the amenities of a modern car... But when I think of my old IS350 3.5L with 306 hp, not bad for a common sport sedan. But like others here, I really have little interest in actually owning and driving decades old car today.
  14. I'm guessing to swap grill involves buying a whole new front clip (front bumper/grill assembly), at that would be very expensive. If so, that would be about 3K installed maybe.
  15. Good point about the weight of these IS's both this gen and last, typically over 3500 pounds, and similar to competitors in this class of compact rwd sport sedans. Modern and safe cars today are usually heavy. Thanks for trip report, sounds like fun.
  16. Yes, IS250 and IS350 get about the same mileage. In steady cruising I get about 27 with 07 IS350 (6 speed auto) at 70-80mph, no flooring at traffic lights. My guess is next year, the IS250 will get a turbo 4 banger similar to new NX engine. Main goal is better fuel economy.
  17. Wow, 1200 mile road trip. What was your gas mleage/mpg?
  18. Not aware of Lexus or Toyota pushing this crap (zMAX Micro Lubricant). Maybe Lexus Marin dealership is....
  19. IMHO, $2 not going to happen in California. Even to fill my natural gas vehicle is costing $2.54/gallon for CNG. Today, Chevron regular was $3.699 this morning.
