what about castrol dexron III? and how many quarts do I need? manual dont say it

hey guys, I think I will have tranny fluid changed, and i m wondering how many bottles i need , and what type is best? Dexron II or dexron III or same stuff? and which brand? or should not matter? thanx

nice price, i paid that for mine with 125k ; ( and tbelt etc was not done, but it does look good though, ohh well where did u get yours, and what color is it? show us some pic, I doubt u can get a remote on the key but not 100% sure . I say take it to mechanic and check brakes/ rotors/ thats about it i guess, maybe shocks if it rides weird. good luck and post pics ; )

Lexusfreak i m one step ahead of your post ; ) the autolock came yesterday , its a bit weird, but seems to work, i got it cheap off ebay, but my friend said that it can be picked, and showed me the lock pick that is 130 bux that is able to pick locks like are on autolock. but i will still use it, only thing now i worry about is air bag, i dont want people trying to get there, i wonder how good stock security is on lexus, btw the pedal on lexus, does it swing left/right a little bit mine does, so it is a bit weird putting the autolock on, i m afraid to break something heh. thanx

NO the car sux, but you CAN buy me one ; ) I ll prolly enjoy it ; ) heh JK try it out , i think thats the best advice , I use to ask people about cars, maxima/mazda 626, millenia, es300 etc etc, and some say good, some say bad, but when i tried maxima and others, and then tried es300, i was hooked, I figured es300 was best for my needs, so try it out and u ll know if its for u or not good luck

sorry about that guys, I assumed every one got cable ; ) I m going to try to make them smaller, and no avs does not appear on all models, my friends 99 dont have heated seats or any avs ;) so i m happy with mine, and it actually works too heh . How long you guys think the tranny should last? I dont know if i m being paranoid or not, but i feel that it shifts pretty weird from park to drive, its kind of stiff sort of any ideas?

hey guys i picked up a 97 es300 with 125k , silver, nice car, i ll post pix i just have some questions, it has this knob, that says sport/luxury, can i twist it while i m driving or ? and does it actually work? does 97 have memory seats? and last, when i drive over bumps etc, i hear my suspension squak/bang a little although car rides nice/ and has stiff suspension? any ideas thanx Ilya

hey guys, just wondering what u think is better, es300 or a 2000 maxima / or maxima se not counting leatther /non leather, i dont like leather , but i ll live with it if i get es300 i drove pre 2000 maxima ,and did not find it confortable, just wondering how 2000 compares, cause some one said 2000+ maxima's are way diffrent maybe some one drove both , let me know thanx

well i dont want to get a really old one, i wanted 96 but 97 looks better, i see a 93 for sale fairly priced, but car is MAD old , i think newer is nicer i m also looking at a 2000 maxima, how would u guys compare it to lexus pre 2000 maxima is not conforable to me es300 was great when i drove it though

thanx a lot for info, my friend got 99 with 160k and he did not change belt, i should persuade him to do so ; ) hehe is that new 98+ engine that much better then the 97 cause i m looking for a 97 cause thats the only one i have a chance of affording thanx
