    Im the same way--I hate a dirty car, but today its raining as well and I had 2 shiney cars in the garage and had to take one of them--Crap! Maybe I should have called a cab...lol

    Look in the manual--its in there how to do it, I forgot its has been a while. A real Lexus dealer would never charge you to change settings unless you came in once a week or so......

    Come on up to Alaska and you can see that light come on at any time you want :P Ita pretty amazing how all the little electronic gizmos work together and bring you back in line all the time--very nice. I tend to take the car out just to play in the snow all the time

    When you are at the trip odo either A/B hold the button down for a couple seconds and it will reset

    Ahh...I was going to do that! Let me make that call today to see what they say Well I called them and of course he has heard nothing of it but he didnt have access to the full database he says and was going to foward the concern to whoever looks at all this stuff---I will keep an eye on my carpet and if it does spread out--I will be asking for replacement but see no need to do it yet.

    The tech said he has never seen it before and looked in the lexus TSB files on the computer and no mention of carpet problems....so he made a report of it to lexus! My yellow is on the drivers side towards the seat area and thats it--pretty big patch. If it grows and starts to yellow all over Ill have them replace it.

    Well you asked if anyone has seen this problem:) Dont know what to tell ya--does it do it randomly or can you make it do it? Take the Tech out for a spin and cross your fingers....

    Well, Im going to try a few tanks of the Premium and see if there is any differance in MPG in my 04! I do run mid-grade all the time now cause it does make the car run better than using 87--Im positive on that. So we will see if my MPG creeps up a few or not?? Ill let you know

    I bet there is more yellow carpet out there, but people are thinking its just dirt and wear stains.

    No nothing yet! I take the car in Tuesday. No road salt in Alaska either. Also everyone saying that we are bringing in stuff from the outside---NO WAY!! Its something to do with the Lexus carpet....I have other cars, house carpet, rugs I brush my feet off on and there is no yellowing there???

    I have put nothing on my carpets either, no air fresher--NOTHING. I did try to get it out with some carpet cleaner the other day and it didnt budge. SO yes I will take the car to the delaer this week and talk to him about it. I will look throughout the car tomorrow and see if its cropping up anywhere else? If its all over like you--they will be replacing the carpets for sure. Ill let you know what I find out. Luckly my dealer is SUPERB!

    Funny it is happening to mine too under the mats on the drivers side I know---need to look at the passenger side? I thought it was just me---but not really as I take EXTRA care of the car period!!! Weird. Ill have to take it to the dealer to see what he says. Definantly not a housekeeping problem--somethings up?

    No freakin way the current RX will get a 3rd row seat----Will not happen as its WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY to small for that.. Ill put money on that!

    Living in CA--thats it right there..LOL 0-100 STOP/ 0-100 Stop/ 0-100 Stop Do a caculation by hand as well like said above, the computer may be off ALOT but I doubt it--how many miles are you getting to a tank of gas--until the light comes on? I can get around 260-270 city driving and mine is the AWD too, I forgot to mention that before

    Somthing doesnt sound right! our 04 gets 16-17 around town with no highway driving and I dont baby it that much. Are your trips really short or do you let the car idle a long time before you drive it from the house? Also with the auto climate control in Auto the AC is always on. I still use auto but then I go into the climate feature and cut off the AC.

    Your only going to get $$ to fix the car from the insurance company and no more!! Your not getting more Who knows how much it will take off the selling price--depends on the person? 1-2K maybe
