  1. I have already taken the truck to the dealer twice. The last time I got them to agree with me that the truck was leaning. I talked with a friend of mine that deals with hydrolic systems and he gave me a few points that could be causing the leaning. I also emailed the company that makes the KDSS system to get feed back from them. I hope something works. I will keep everyone posted.
  2. I agree! This weekend I was driving on some back counrty road with the selector on sport and the vehicle handles great. I just don't want my buddy with a ford telling me that my Lexus looks like it is leaning. When his is not. That chaps my hide.
  3. Is this just happening with ones equipped with the KDSS? I just went and carefully measured mine in the garage, which is as flat as you're gonna get, and it was identical on both sides. Mine does not have the KDSS though. ← From everything I have read, it is only KDSS equipped GX's. But you bring up a good point that if ones without KDSS are not leaning, then why should one with any additional $1700 option.
  4. Great information. Thanks for the link, but it did not have a solution. I have my service guy working on it now. I told them that a $50,000 dollar Lexus should not lean if a $25,000 Toyota does not. They had the same model on the lot and it leaned the opposite direction. I hope we can figure out a solution. Thanks for the information.

  6. Has anyone else that has a 04 9700G with KDSS had problems with the truck leaning to either side. If so, has anyone's dealer come up with a fix. My dealer told me that the car may lean at rest. I have had several people look at the car and they all agree that it is not level. I told them that a car at this price should not lean at rest or anytime else. Any suggestions? Thanks for the feedback.
  7. I had the same problem. They had to replace the latch at the dealer. It only took them about half an hour.
  8. I would contact a Lexus dealer in the US. They my charge you an arm and leg, but it would be the original roof rack. I have been looking for a grill guard for the GX470 here and not finding much. Is there anything for the Prado there? TexGX
  9. The dealer uses a dry system. I had them clean a few spots, and it turned out great. I would check and see what they use.
  10. The secondary reason for the adjustible ride height is for towing. Ever see someone towing a trailer with the rear end dragging the ground. The GX corrects this problem with the rear adjustible suspention. It levels out the back end.
  11. I have a bug shield on my GX. I got it put on at the dealer. I think it adds to the looks of the front end. The only thing to be aware of is that the bug shield I have circles the grill, at the bottom of the grill some of the hardware hits the bumper. I corrected this by adding some rubber protection strips where the contact happens.
  12. I have a 2004 GX470 with KDSS and a tow hitch. I bought the GX to tow a trailer. The Dealer told me that it would be no problem. After recieving the GX I went home and read the owners manual which said that you could not tow with KDSS. I call first thing the next morning and he called Lexus. The 2003 model did not have a hitch designed for it. The 2004 does. I recieved a letter from Lexus stating that my GX can be used for towing and they plan on changing the manual at next printing.   13. You can enter most information using your voice activated options. If you say Mexican Food, the Nav will display mexican food location icons on you screen. This works the same way for most other Nav options.
  14. I am trying to find a Lexus or Toyota ran off road driving school. I would really like to see what the GX can do. Does anyone know of anything out there?
