It sounds like from your thread, you have already purchased your replacement parts.. If so, the best place for answers to your questions would be the dealer/vendor/internet supplier you got the parts from. They should even offer some sort of warranty. Someone else may have a diffrent idea and will chime in here. Paul

Hi Anthony, and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club! IMHO, I agree with Elvis. I think you have a problem that may require an exspensive part replacement. If you are not a do-it-your selfer like me, I would recommend taking it to a dealer for just a diagnosis. If it is going to require replacement of say a circuit board, processor, software re-load, etc, you can then shop around for the best price for parts and a reasonably priced garage. For parts, one of our members, "dcfish", is an authorized dealer for Lexus audio and navigation equipment. You can contact him on this site for advice or for the purchase of parts. Paul

Hello Bill. I went to "Lexus.com" and got the phone number for Lexus customer service. I explained your situation, and they advised me that there was no service or Dealers in Dubai. They suggested as an alternative, that you contact "Lexusglobal.com". That department covers all countries, and may be able to locate a service outlet somewhere nearby. This is a volunter site and not owned by Lexus or any other company. Therefore, there is no such thing as an "offficial" answer or reply. If you like the thought of not having any large exspensive suprises in the future, then I would recommend the extened warranty. If exspense is not a concern, forget the warranty, Paul

Hi John, Regardless of the equipment you have, or whether you have navigation, your car has a factory installed amplifier.(unless someone put an aftermarket one in earlier, doubtfull). It has to have an amp to power most of the equipment or you wouldn't hear anything. I'm soory, but I don't know where it's located at on you model. I feel your pain.... I've had some of the same problems with my mp3 player. Here is the best answer I can come up with. First, when posting anything, it is important that you include your model, year, type of audio system, ( w/o Mark Levinson system), or navigation. It sounds like you might have one with navigation. Lexus designed all of the sound systems, for all models, to inter face with "I-player" software. At first, I bought a Sansa mp3 player and had nothing but frustration trying to make the Lexus system do what I wanted to do. After calling several sources for answers, I bought a Ipad-Nano. Now everthing works perfertly. The Apple inter face software makes a big difference, But....I found that all my mp3 files can not be transfered to the I pod Nano. So my solution is I Pod. Paul
