  1. Besides faulty wiring/coils, there could be a problem with the timing(belt) slipping. Have your camgears / TDC checked. Another option could be your oil control valve. Check this link for info.
  2. It's something like this: Roll each window down fully and roll them back up (from their own panelswitch). Do not use the automatic down/up function. Once you do all 4, they should work from the driver's side switch. Or, roll window down, then up and keep the switch pressed untill it beeps. There's a section in your manual stating what to do when you have replaced the battery or lost power to ECU.

  4. (Fast) discharging depends on some factors. 10 days is a bit on the short side. - The battery is EOL. - Something (car-alarm?) is drawing power (parasitic draw). Draw must not be over 25-50 milliamps. - Battery isn't fully recharged by bad alternator or corroded wiring. Your dealer (or any qualified electrician or shop), can check above easily.
  5. It's possible your bushings or struts are worn. You can't always 'feel' this by hand, but it's noticeable with accelerating- or brakingforce. If this isn't the case, you might have issues with the drivetrain/axles etc. Did you perform a 4 wheel allignment as well? When a ball-joint is worn, it's good practice to replace both, as they might have a similar lifespan. Take the car to a proper dealer/shop for inspection.
  6. There are three types of glass. Dealer-, OEM- and aftermarket glass. OEM glass meets or exeeds specifications by dealer, but is not necessarily provided by the same distributor. If you consider aftermarket glass, make sure it lives up to the same specs (or better), like above, or you may end up with thinner or less hardened glas, which is more prone to damage, windnoise or other issues.
  7. With the vehicle not running, the battery voltage should be between 12.5 and 12.8 volts. At engine idle, the voltage should be between 13.6 to 14.3 volts.
  8. Sometimes the rubber of the upper strut mounts or arm-bushings get dry. Lubricate with some Silicone Spray or WD40 to see if this reduces the squeaking noise. I strongly suggest you have the ball-joints checked, never can be too sure about that! My BJ's were replaced around 80-90K miles.
  9. That's an interesting question. I don't have an answer re. differences between US and Export models in terms of engine power, but it's curious that it seems comparable like the GS400 and GS430. They both share the same peak horsepower, except the latter has more torque (because of larger bore / displacement). If it's due to a larger bore, then there's not much you can do I'm afraid.
  10. First upload your photo/image to a filehosting website, for example imageshack. When uploaded, you get a referral link to your image. Copy this 'link'. Next 'edit' your message and hover with the mouse above the icon toolbar. If you select the icon which resembles an image, you get a small balloon with: 'insert image'. Click on this icon and a small window pops up. Now you can paste your referral link into it. Click OK, save and voila.
