Wubbman
Whenever my antenna goes to raise up, it makes an annoying squeaking sound. I'm guessing this is b/c of a lack of lube. What can I use and how should I apply it? I was thinking of WD40, but isn't that a solvent? I don't want that on the paint. Would a good grease work? Thanks. amf1932
WD40 is a lubricant also. I used it on my '94ES for the 9 years I owned this car and it always worked very well. Raise the staff and spray the WD40 onto it. then raise and lower it a couple of times. Wipe off any excess. ;)
Wubbman
Thanks Alan. I'll try it here soon.
steviej
Tri-Flow© is a spray teflon lubricant that is very good. Most hardware stores and bike stores have it. Anything thicker than that will attract dirt and dust (ie. a thin coating of lithium grease). I use it on squeaky doors all the time and it is worth a try....ArmorAll. I would never use it for its marketed purpose, but it works great as a lubricant. steviej
