packratmag Posted August 28, 2022 Share Posted August 28, 2022 I accidentally put E-85 gas about 1/2 tank in my 2013 ES-350. The check engine light came on and Trac off light.What do I do? Can I siphon out the gas or is there an anti-theft in the tank? How do I do it? Can I top the tank off with regular gas? or will that harm the fuel pump, gas lines, etc. I'm so embarrased !!!! Les Lex 2018 Posted August 29, 2022 Share Posted August 29, 2022 What I'd do if the car still runs, and it probably does, is top it off with regular non-gas a hol (pure gasoline). You can find it around there, and go for a long long ride to burn it off the alcohol quick. Got any friends in Texas? RX400h Posted August 29, 2022 Share Posted August 29, 2022 If your owner's manual does not specifically state that your engine can use E85, then either have it siphoned out or try Lex Lex's suggestion about filling up the tank with non-E85 gas and use it up as soon as you can.
