Recommended timing belt and water pump replacement brand to use

What’s the best timing belt and water pump kit to use flor my gx 470? I realize OEM is probably the best but I would like to try and save a little money.

I believe Continental, Gates, and Dayco are good brands for timing belts. Each is in the $20-$22 range.
I'm less certain about water pumps but I see that GMB ($51) states theirs is an exact OE replacement. The most expensive on the list is Aisin at $101.

I've had good luck with Gates and Dayco in the past for the timing belt kits. The Aisin water pump is probably the closest to oem. Usually find the best prices at Rock Auto.

I agree with the above choices but have noticed Gates are now sourcing their belts from abroad (China) and the quality has dropped tremendously...(squeeling drivebelts and stretching needing constant adjustment).
Would recommend genuine Lexus/Toyota for the auxiliary drivebelts but Cambelt and Tensioners should be acceptable from any of the above sources

Well, You bought a Lexus for it's quality and dependability among other reasons I am sure...Buy OEM parts and have a piece of mind that is not made in china...Sleep well  😉
