Left Rear Door Courtesy Lamp Switch

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I find that if I jiggle it a bit it will work.

Need to change it? Or can I remove that rubber boot and then put some greese in there that won't mess up the electrical component?

I believe a silicone spray would be ideal....I've got some prestone stuff I've used to clean/soften the door seals and such...

Others have mentioned good ol' WD-40 spray lubricant...

Either way, I think if you spray a paper towel first and then just wipe on the trigger/button it would be best...

Could be a loose connection though ;)

take off the boot and spray wd 40 or white grease press it in a few times to make sure it works then it should be fine once the boot is reinstalled.

Thanks guys, that did it.

I could not just remove the rubber and get to the switch which is really simple device.

I had to remove the screw then the switch because the screw holds down the switch and the rubber is between the back of the switch and the metal of the vehicle.

I used the trusty WD40 and now it is like new -- no more sticking.

one down... ? more to go :D
