engnrng79 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Hi, planning to get a used 2010 RX450h, but heard the hybrid battery will oni last 4~5yrs. Is it true?? Thanks in advance Who told you that? Toyota testing shows 300,000 miles on the Prius battery, then can be rebuilt for about $1000. The small 12V battery in almost any car should be replaced at 4 to 5 years to prevent being stranded. Traction battery should last a long time. Lexus dealer can check battery condition.
Hollydaisy Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Hope you bought the car. We have a 2006 rx400h with 160k miles. hybrid battery was recently tested and is doing just fine. great car!
ukrkoz Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 No worries. it's ame battery we have in Camry Hybrid, also it's ame battery used in airplanes. They last a very long time. Of course, that said, life can happen but overall, they are long lasting ones. Honda on the other hand had real crappy batteries in their hybrid vehicles, practically that's why they stopped making hybrid Accords and Civics. No worries.
xhybrdx Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 My 2007 GS 450h has 155000 miles and the battery is still going strong.
