Folks,

On going issue with this Lexus LS. It wasn't idling or turning over sooo, I've had...

-Ignition cap and rotor, ignition coil, replaced

-spark plugs replaced

- spark plug wires replaced..

And now the guy says they found the cam and crankshaft position sensors need to be replaced... $1k

He says it runs but not well and cuts off...

HELP?!

wow Brian, $1k to replace cam and crank sensors? That's a bit on the high side.

First thing to check is codes. You can test them yourself using this procedure -> http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/intro/codereading.html

If there are codes then you can use them to go down the correct path. I am really thinking it may be time to consider another mechanic more familiar with Lexus.

1k to change those sensors is just absurd. I would find a new mechanic also.
