Funny Smell And Whine

2002 Rx300 FWD

Noticed a funny smell like burning rubber/melting wiring from right side engine bay behind headlight, the sound sounds like a cold PS pump or like it is low on fluid but everything checks out and drove it around to try and get it to go away

It persists even after driving for 20 minutes

No guesses absolutely. Worth checking the repair manual for your car?

You may have a air conditioning compressor clutch going bad. But Maybe the fluid in the power steering unit needs replacing. The pump may be freezing up.
