Broker66
Hi! I own a 2000 GS400 and have been wondering if there is a way for a non-dealer person to change to CBES Options (as in reprogramming the cabin light delays or other body controller features). My dealer has altered several ones as I requested it of them. Some one hinted you needed the OBD II scan tool. The shop manuals; however, do not even mention this. I thought odd, as the manuals mention the Navigation System test and coefficient settings as well as the active/passive alarm setting changes, but yet nothing on the CBES settings. Does anyone have any clues ? Thanks Dave
TurboGS300
right! But how many people that buy a Lexus have a scan tool lying around? Not sure on this one ask your dealer or mechanic.
SKperformance
You have to have the scanner to change the settings. It is only made to give the owner personal settings when needed but not for really user adjustability ,which is kind of stupid to say the least. There is a list in the general maintance setion for all the options.
