  1. Hi! I own a 2000 GS400 and have been wondering if there is a way for a non-dealer person to change to CBES Options (as in reprogramming the cabin light delays or other body controller features). My dealer has altered several ones as I requested it of them. Some one hinted you needed the OBD II scan tool. The shop manuals; however, do not even mention this. I thought odd, as the manuals mention the Navigation System test and coefficient settings as well as the active/passive alarm setting changes, but yet nothing on the CBES settings. Does anyone have any clues ? Thanks Dave
  2. I just bought a pre-owned Cert. 2000 GS400 (my first Lexus). I noticed that the Manual shift buttons, located on the steering wheel, do not appear to light. It seems odd that lexus would not choose to illuminate them at night, since everything else seems to have been thought out well with this car. Is this normal or do they, indeed, light up at night ? Any thoughts or ideas ? Broker66
