EAW 478 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 OK...I have a 2009 LS 460...Rarely drive it but now that I'm retired want to take it out a lot more. I bought an i Pod and downloaded my favorite music on that device. How do I download my music from my i Pod into my car's stereo system. And don't laugh! I know this is most likely very simple.... Thanks for your input.
Phil J. Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 hi EAW, I have a 09. I have the Mark Levenson sound system. I have a jack in the cneter console behind the gear shift where I can plug in my iPhone and play music. YOu need a cable which I bought from radio shcak to connect. then you press AUX on the radio contro and you are good to go. I do not know if you can copy music from the iPone to the card hard disk but I know you can using a CD. THere is a record function on the radio. if you play with the buttons you will find it when you insert the CD. I am not in front of the car. I will be later and I will try and write again. thanks phil
SW03ES Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 You can't copy music off the iPod to the car's HDD. What you need is a USB cable or AUX-in cable, you can listen to the music off the iPod, but you can't download it to the car. This is part of Apple's copyright requirements. Welcome to the club!
