ED. Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 After a great round of golf Sunday, I was driving back to Missouri and saw a crack in my windshield. Drivers side, near the bottom. It already had 6/7 "arms" so I knew it would get bigger and it did. Putting my shade up this morning I saw it had grown both up towards the roof and down towards the hood. Sad face. I'm real close to my agent so I texted her and its a $500 deduct. She then called me later and said she just got one herself. Jinx! Is the front windshield UV? Id prefer that versus a cheaper quality one. Thanks,

ED. Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 LOL not at all! Safelite said three glass types: green, bronze and gray. Have to use paper to determine.
Micah.Berry Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 My car has a replacement windshield from a previous owner. It's bronzed, like the rest of the glass, but I would say that that the OEM glass is nicer. I forget which brand it is right now, but I recall it's not Safelite. The bronze color is a little lighter than on the OEM glass. Make sure you understand the warranty. You don't want (obviously) leaks in the seals, but you also don't want additional wind noise due to a poor installation. I'll get the name of the glass and post it later. Micah
