Can't Get Car Into Diagnostic Mode 94 Ls 400

My 94 ls400 recently lost power and went into a limp mode. was able to get home. This occured 5 minutes after i went to jiffy lube. I checked the oil and all is fine. Check engine light came on and trac light. I am trying to activate the diagnostics and followed the published procedures used a a short wire, paper clip and can't get it into diagnostic mode. I have the car in neutral, ac off, radio off, od button pushed in. Am I missing something?

It looks correct make sure the battery is fully charged, and the throttle is fully closed.

I think the OD switch only needs to be pushed in for transmission codes.
