donglendy Posted March 10, 2003 Share Posted March 10, 2003 My LS 400 has 136000 miles (92 model) and has become very hard to start and acts very flooded when it does eventually start. It has a great deal of smoke at initial startup and will not idle until the engine rpm has been elevated to around 3000 rpms for a few seconds. The car then appears to run o.k until it is turned off when the whole process starts all over again. have changed the two front o-2 sensors and the temperature sensor after jumping the pins to get a flash code to no avail. at a losss without a dealer within a hundred miles and no way to get a code by a computer. I REPLACED THE PLUGS LAST NIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THERE APPEARED TO BE A CONTINUAL DRIPPING OF GAS THRU THE INTAKE. HAVE THE CAR AT A LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER TODAY SINCE NO LEXUS SERVICE IS WITHIN 100 MILES. THEY SAID THERE IS A FUEL SHUTOFF VALVE WITH A DIAPRAM IN IT THAT MAY BE LEAKING THE AIR CLEANER WAS SATURATED WITH GASOLINE DON Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
