w@ntonsoup Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I couldn't find a topic version 9 - does it still remove the manual override on the Nav? I'm still on the original maps because we use override all the time...
Buk Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I couldn't find a topic version 9 - does it still remove the manual override on the Nav? I'm still on the original maps because we use override all the time... I'm new to Lexus vehicles and may not understand manual override, but if you mean when the car is rolling can you use all the function of the navigation the answer is no you can't. Or if there is a menu item that allows you to override "car rolling" I haven't found it. Some of the functions are available via voice command. I'll be happy to check something specific, if that would help.
w@ntonsoup Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 I'm only talking about the 400h, not your 450h.
SW03ES Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Any upgrade is going to remove the override.
w@ntonsoup Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Ahh, figured as much. Darn it all.
zackphan Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I have the 2008 400h nav v7.1 and have been trying for a while to create a hybrid override disc without success. I have combed the forums. Any helpful advice or forums you can point me to?
removeum Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I upgraded my GPS from 7.1 to 9.1. The only change is every time you activate it you no longer must agree.
SOMEONE ELSE'S GOT MY NAME Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I couldn't find a topic version 9 - does it still remove the manual override on the Nav? I'm still on the original maps because we use override all the time... check here (by phone, for quickest response): http://www.coastaletech.com/lockpick3.htm tell them what version your map data base is, and what version your hardware is (ie; the DVD reader) and they can match you up with the features you want. Our lockpick not only does away with 'I agree' ... but allows full map function access while in motion, and phone number database access and phone dialing usage on the mfd ... which is way safer than punching your tiny little phone buttons. We installed ours in less than 1 hour as a date nite project. good luck!
