Maybe dcfish is talking about threads sometimes displaying -- for no apparent reason -- in "outline" or "linear" mode. When that happens, click on the Options button to change the display mode to "Standard".

That was the issue, I switched to standard and all is good, How did it get switched ti outline ??? I never changed it :o

That happens from time to time. I think they make some change to the software and forget to change the default. They fixed it...when I logged on it was set up properly.
