chins Posted September 21, 2009 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Hello all, I have a 2008 IS 250 with HID Xenon Adaptive head Lamps. I want to match my fog lamps with the head lamps. Is there a way to change the color of the fog lamp bulbs to white without adding a ballast by just changing the fog lamp bulb to white color one? if yes, pls let me know what bulb and kelvin temperature (color) to buy? NicLX470 Posted September 21, 2009 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Most if not all OEM HID systems use 4300K, which is equivalent to natural sunlight. The higher the temp the bluer the color will get. But with less light output. If you get any higher than say, 10-12k you will get purple.
