Replace Cracked Tail Lamp Lens

Hi,

Someone smashed the tail lamp lens on my

1993 LS400. Lexuspartsonline lists a lens and

an assembly. Is it relatively easy to replace

just the lens, or do I have to buy both the lens

and assembly?

Wow! I had no idea that taillight lenses were available separately. I thought it was a sealed unit and that the lens was glued to the housing ... guess I don't know as much as I thought.

I suggest you check eBay for a replacement. I suspect you could buy an entire used OEM assembly on eBay at a fraction of the price of a new one.

The "lens" is just the plastic housing and lens, The assembly includes clips and harness.

Just be glad there was no other damage. Metal bodywork is a pain in the butt to have repaired. :(
