License Light Out

Hello

How do I get to the light over my license plate? Do i need to pull the cover over the trunk lid. or does the facade pop off from the outside?

Hi,

Open the trunk lid and remove the internal trim on the trunk edge,reach inside and feel around for the lamp holder, twist it 90 degrees and the holder will come out of the lense,refit in reverse.

May be worth buying some of the LED replacements they never wear out ( almost) but try the lights before refitting as they only work one way around.

Sorry just noticed you have a 430 I was going on a 400 but it will be similar.

yep..steve2006 is correct...the license plate lights are easy to change...they are right under the inside trunk lid cover

I have this problem, too.

Would you mind giving me some details...I have a 2005 ls430 and the trunk cover seems to be well attached by the inside trunk latch... :(
