Hello, Is it just me, or has the LS600hL become a rough riding car? My 2010 seems to ride much rougher thatn my 2008 did. The 2010 telegraphs any irregularity in the road and will ride like a boat (swaying up and down) in all settings. Has this become normal? I switched tired from Bridgestone to Michelins and they helped a little. Can the suspension program or system pressure be altered to fix? Is there an aftermarket solution? This has become very annoying to me, I can hardly drink a cup of coffee without it spilling, oh, it also seems worse at city speeds. any feedback would be appreciated, Hank

Rear Viedw Camera In 2010 Ls
HankJ replied to HankJ's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
Skin, I did read it, up it really doesn't. This is my third LS with this system and the other two didn't have the problem. It would be more useful to respond to a member's question technically, in my opinion. thanks anyway, -
Hello, I have a 2010 LS600hL and the rear view camera washes out in bright light. In fact in sunlight, a blue vertical line run across the screen. also in parking lots at night, the lot lights will wash out the image in the screen. If the lightng is just right, the image is good. My 2010 LS600, nor my LS430L had this issue. My dealer said that he cheked out other new 2013 LS's and they had the same behaviour; so therefore, my system was ok. I said "it may be ok, but its not right". So at this point, im stuck with it. has anyone else experienced this? cheers, hank

My 2010 LS600hL rides rough as well. I had a 2008 LS600hL that was smoother than the 2010....I just swapped the Bridgestone's out for Michelins with minimal improvement. The 2010 is a CPO so it still has warrantee, but the dealer tells me that its to spec. any suggestions on what to do? thanks, hank

Power Outlet For Front Of Ls600Hl
HankJ replied to HankJ's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
xhybrdx I did order it, but it wasn't the right part, it was only the insert to replace the ashtray that slides out. any other ideas? in the meantime, I'm plugging it into the rear outlet and dragging the power cord to the front seat, not very elegant for a LS600... thanks to all, hank Preferences -
Power Outlet For Front Of Ls600Hl
HankJ replied to HankJ's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
It sure looks like it. The dealer said that I also needed the wood trim since the two styles are different sizes, but it looks the same to me. Thank you very much! I'll buy it and see. Cheers! Hank -
Power Outlet For Front Of Ls600Hl
HankJ replied to HankJ's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
Thanks for your response. The cars come with either an outlet and ash tray or a storage compartment. Mine has the latter and I want to convert it to the outlet version. Now I have to plug my phone to the rear seat outlet and stretch the cord to the front. -
Just getting around my CPO 2010 LS600hl and want to change out the storage compartment in the front dash with the cigarette light/ash tray arrangement. No not for smoking, but to have the power outlet for my phone. The dealer wants, wait for this...$1,700!!! $1,400+ is for the replacement wood trim/door, since it is a different size going from one configuration to the other. Sooo, does anyone know of an aftermarket kit that I can get to install a power outlet in the compartment? thanks, hank

I just bought a 2010 LS600hL and it came with the front license plate bracket installed. I will remove it, since I think that car looks cleaner without it. What's the best way to deal with the holes left behind? Is there a filler or plug kit? thanks for your help, hank

Poor City Mileage On Ls600Hl
HankJ replied to mcmillmc's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
I also have a 2008 LS600hL and consistently get 23+ MPG. I record my milage via Gasbuddies, the on board computer overstates it, in my case. BTW I have 145,000 miles and just bought a used 2010 CPO. good luck, my likes to be driven. cheers, -
Hello, Does anyone know when Lexus reduced the size of the traction battery from the original in 2008? Has anyone had one fail? Mine has almost 1450,000 and still strong. BTW, it also has the original brakes!! thanks, hank Preferences § 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 - = Backspace Tab q w e r t y u i o p [ ] Return capslock a s d f g h j k l ; ' \ shift ` z x c v b n m , . / shift English Deutsch Español Français Italiano Português Русский alt alt Preferences

I'm looking to replace my 2008 LS600hL after 135,000 miles and have found a 2012 just coming off of lease. It seems that this car doesn't have the 'pre-collision package' which includes the radar cruise control! I didn't think that this was possible that Lexus would build one without this. However I really want this feature, can it be added on now? thanks for your inputs, ciaoi, hank

Hello, I hope that someone knows of an inexpensive repair for this situation. Yesterday, after several weeks of not using the CD player, I tried to lad a new CD, but the door would not open. I also noticed that the green led (which changes to orange when open) was not illuminated. Does anyone have a solution other than replacing the unit? My car is a 2008 LS600hL. Cheers, Hank

How do we get the discount? Thanks, Hank

This works wonders on my 2008 LS600

Thanks, I want to remove it so that I can fix a rattle, it works fine. Pulling it straight out isn't working. The dealer tried to pull it for me (they work well with me), but they even had an issue and said that it seemed that it had to have a partial dash removal. Oh well, I may have to go the route of sticking felt around the edges.

Why Are My Tires Wearing Out So Fast (20,000 Miles)?
HankJ replied to HankJ's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
I switched to Primacy MXM4 tires and have gotten much better ride and wear off of them. Over 30k now. My tire store told me that they have seen a lot of issues with the Pilot A/S and how the wear and the wear patterns. -
Hi, Looks like my 4 way lumbar support is now just 2 way. The up and down doesn't function, even though I do hear the motor run. Has anyone removed the rear panel from the seat and replaced this mechanism? If so, can you please provide me some tips? Also, where is the cheapest place to buy a new one? Thanks for any help. Cheers, Hank

Hello, Does anyone have any news on the new GS hybrid? It due to be out in May, per the web site; but I was wondering if anyone had any 'insider' news or test reports yet? I have a 2008 LS600hL with over 100,000 miles now and have begun the journey of looking for my next car and am thinking the GS might be it. Any comments? Thanks, Hank
