slicclex Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 There is a sale on LS460 wheels nearby my location and they are in mint condition. But I have no idea what the wheel fitment is for my car. Will LS460 wheels fit on my LS400?
TA in KC Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 They may fit, but the car will likely be very uncomfortable after they are installed. Your car's suspension was designed for 15" wheels. Putting 18"(?) LS460 wheels on it will probably make the car ride much rougher.
slicclex Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 No I was aware that the ride would be rougher. I would probably have to upgrade my suspension as well since the wheel well will be filled in with 18's. Also thinking about buying H&R's or Eibachs springs. Anyone know what kind of struts will still give me somewhat of smooth ride and better handling (less rollover)?
SKperformance Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 No the bolt pattern for the LS460 is not the same 5 X 114.3 that you have.
Jkavulick Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I have seen no problems having the 460 rims on the 400.
steve2006 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Strange as the PCD on the 460 rims is 120 as opposed to 114.3 on the earlier models.
Jkavulick Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Sorry, I had to use adapters and The lug nut and studs are different as well as the PCD. There were other things I had to do to make it work. I was responding to "They may fit, but the car will likely be very uncomfortable after they are installed. Your car's suspension was designed for 15" wheels. Putting 18"(?) LS460 wheels on it will probably make the car ride much rougher." Should have been clearer what I was talking about.
