Temperature Level

It was 100 degrees the other day and I was in the Popeyes drive thru ordering chicken when I noticed after waiting about 6 minutes idle for my food, the temperature gauge went right below the Hot marker. I put it in neutral and hit the accelerator and it started to go back down some. Once I started driving it went back to normal shortly. Is this normal, I don't think so. Do I need a new radiator or fan or something or should I just have my coolant flushed. Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Fan's not moving enough air. I would start with the fan clutch.

And I, on the other hand, would start with the electric fan(s) not "shifting" into high speed or not running at all.

Agreed, it is a fan issue and both should be checked.
