mikecolorama
i have an 01 RX silver sport. i was wondering if i would be able to tow a horse and the trailer. the owners manual says that the capacity is 3500 lbs. and the trailer and horse would be about 2500 lbs. any and all info would be appreciated. thanks. lenore
I wouldnt, but if you do I would change the transmission fluid every 10k miles....Also consider adding an additional tranny cooler. The car already has one, but its location is useless.
LexKid630
I've been using our 03 rx300 to tow a boat from our house to the water (approx 80 miles round trip) and the car pulls it like it's nothing. Not sure of it's weight, but it's BIG. I just make sure to accelerate easy and leave a lot of room for braking and no problems so far. I agree with the last poster, watch the transmission fluid! The Rx300 transmissions are weak as it is.
