17LexusOwner
I recently had to have my coolant resivoir because of a leak. Now I've noticed that my temp gauge is higher then normal (normal is the first bar) now it is at the second-third bar. My dad told me that there is a bubble in the line preventing proper cooling. My question here is, is there a air release valve on the hose itself for a bubble like this?
qha_vn
i believe your car is fine with coolant temp needle is at second-third (middle of the gauge range) temp wasnt ideal on 1st bar (too cool)
90LS400Lexus
Mine stays barely above the 3rd line.... it was the same with my old LS as well.
chilkoot
mine also sits about 1/8" above the third (halfway) mark, doesn't move once it warms up. when I had a bad thermostat it stayed at the second line, pegged solid.
NewGuy19
Before my new water pump my temp gauge would sit about half way between the third and fourth line. After I did the water pump/timing belt and also the coolant reservoir due to a leak, I now run about an 1/8" below the third line.

vyhanh
My 91 shows the 2nd line (if counting half/midway as 3rd) in winter. Now it's midway once warmed
