Stock Vs After Market Air Filter

Recommended Posts

Is it worth spending ~$45 for an aftermarket air filter? ie K&N for my is250

There is a huge debate over air filter choices. In order to avoid another useless air filter debate thread, Simply make a decision on your own. It is strictly a personal decision. Enough said. Done.

For performance, no, it's almost certainly going to show no gain at all.

On the other hand, a reuseable filter will pay for itself over time compared to a disposable one simply in replacement costs.

Be careful of "wet" reusable filters though as too much reoiling will cause issues with oil getting on your MAF.
