dcfish Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Is it worth spending ~$45 for an aftermarket air filter? ie K&N for my is250 There is a huge debate over air filter choices. In order to avoid another useless air filter debate thread, Simply make a decision on your own. It is strictly a personal decision. Enough said. Done.
Knightshade Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 For performance, no, it's almost certainly going to show no gain at all. On the other hand, a reuseable filter will pay for itself over time compared to a disposable one simply in replacement costs. Be careful of "wet" reusable filters though as too much reoiling will cause issues with oil getting on your MAF.
