eagle-7 Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Hi, Left trunk strut of our 2000 RX300 just failed. Anyone know how much to replace it? Would it matter if I take it to Toyota? Cost difference? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, eagle

Expect to pay $165.00 to $190.00 for the part at the dealer.
eagle-7 Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 Thanks Twin Turbo. I'm trying to see if I can find the part from an auto parts store. It doesn't seem complicated to replace. Any suggestions on vendors who might have the part? Thanks, eagle
lenore Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS-RX300...sspagenameZWDVW I bought some from this vender and they work great....
eagle-7 Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 Thanks lenore! Is the installation simple? Do you simply remove the bolts on the existing strut and then install the new strut using the oem bolts? r, eagle
lenore Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Every thing is included and the whole thing takes less than 30 minutes. I believe I did use the existing bolts. But the brackets on the new struts are made to fit our car.
eagle-7 Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 Thanks lenore. :) I went ahead and did the "Buy Now" for the struts. About $66 bucks for the pair. I'll let you know how the installation goes. r, eagle
