Turn Signal Light

Recently my left turn signal light went out. I was wondering if anyone had a link to a tutorial at how to get the front orange covers off. There aren't any bolts holding them on and I'm afraid if I try to pry them off I will end up braking the plastic. (already happened with the right marker cover cause i was impatient :/ )

Any help is greatly appreciated.

P.S. Also if you just have a plain tutorial or tips on replacing them if you don't have to take that plastic cover off that'd be great too.

I don't know the year of your car but normally there is a single screw holding the unit into the fender, remove the screw and lift out that side move it sideways away from the car and it should come out.

As steve2006 said, the front turn signal on each side of the bumper is a "unit" - the amber lens is glued to the housing and the bulb is replaced from the rear once the entire turn signal unit is removed from the bumper.

This vendor's webpage has a photo that shows that the bulb is replaced from the rear: http://www2.partstrain.com/v5/products.php...4294967022+9322

I don't know if this is a good price. Consider checking ebay or Sewell Lexus (Lexusparts.com).

I don't know if these "ebay" clear turn signals are the ones you are talking about but these on ebay also appear to have the lens glued to the housing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Lexus-LS400...bayphotohosting

I don't think I have seen separate removable turn signal lenses since the early 1970s -- most everything in front and rear turn signals and tail lights I have seen during the past 30+ years have the lens glued to the housing.
