2000 Es300 Tail Light Reminder Wont Turn Off, Reset Feature?

Hey guys new to the forum. I have a 2000 ES300 and the tail light reminder wont turn off. someone told me there might be a way to reset the reminder?

Every time you start the car it resets.

You ca't use LED bulbs nor some of the LL, Long Life, bulbs since they do not draw "enough" current flow.

If you are referring to a lamp failure light on your dash, it could mean that there is a failure in the lamp failure indicator sensor. I believe the sensor is located in the trunk. Its referred to as a sensor, but looks more like a relay.

considering i've never seen the lamp sensor go bad, i'd be more inclined to say there might still be a bulb out or poor quality bulb.

poor quality bulb lol? i got them from the dealer for $5.00 a pop. all bulbs are fine. ill look into the relay. where would it be?

In the trunk, passenger side quarter panel, toward the front.

Yes,...LOL...!!

Just because you got them from the dealer and paid an exorbitant price doesn't mean good quality, IMMHO in most cases the opposite would be true.

The dealer may have sold you LL bulbs and oftentimes those do not require enough current flow to turn off the bulb failure sensor system.
