Truck Latch Won't...well, Latch

Latch on trunk won't latch.

The little hook can be easily moved with my finger.

BTW...The trunk release works fine. It just APPEARS to be the latch.

Any advice? Quick/cheap fixes? Who to take it to? No dealer close by...(plus I don't want to get reamed...)

Spray some pb blaster in the lock assembly , it may be sticking or the spring is shot on it.

Very Good Advice, try this first (WD-40 or whatever)

However, If you need to replace the trunk latch it is very easy and should cost about $40 (what i paid). basically just a few (2?) bolts and a long metal bar that is routed to where the key hole area is.
