hey guys im new here going to be making my car as fast as a crotch rocket. itwill take alot of time and money i know but i have that

but i have an 02 is 300 tha has been lowered with the TEIN coilovers

has anyone had problems with sevre tire wear on stock and aftermarket rims with any lowering springs on your car

is there a special kit for the camber to be adjusted?

i trusted some local shops to try and alighn the camber as best but know one coud seems like everyone in edmonton doesnt care at all or cant do it and thinks im stupid and dont know anything.

i bught the car for the sole reason of i live in alberta OIL TOWN lol

everyone owns a lifted diesel truck i want to be differens so i bought my is

im going to get adjustible coilovers and turbo it in winter coming up soo te suspensions prob i hope will get fixed with a set of fully adjustible shocks.

and turbo i have it all lined up all turbonetics :)

but i have jsut cold air, iridium plugs, and the apexi safc and i was wondering if anyone knew the best for tuning the afc to my car... its 02 is300 auto with tiptronic, injen cold air, ngk irdiums and the safc....

who out there know what level of fuel i could safely tune. what i have car set at, my start point is at 60%throttle starting at 2000rmp with a 2%fuel over stock up to 7000rpm at 8% fuel over stock.

can i go more to get more speed and power? can i put more fuel in without blowing up my car?

also is there any tranny upgrades i can do to make my car pull harder and be more efficient like shiftkits, any programming, or jsut anything ????? what can i do.

im going to get exhuast here soon what is on of the best kinds for the 2jz

im sick of little punks in civics trying to keep up to me i actually had one rape me on the highway i was like WTF is under that hood lol,. anyways

Sounds great!! Welcome to the LOC.

You won't need any tranny mods unless your going over about 400 hp. A tranny cooler might be advisable though, and an upgraded torque converter.

If your going turbo, then the fuel management system does matter. I'm using AEM, and a PLX wideband. And even though youv'e increased fuel now, you'll need to go to bigger injectors and a larger fuel pump to get much more fuel thru. as for tuning, it's all about timing and A/f, and shaping torque and hp curves. the more time you can datalog, the finer and tighter you can tune. But not too tight, or " POP!".

Here's what you have to remember about the 2JZE motor:

The original design was with turbo in mind. the ideal motor for turbo has alot of initial torque for quick spool up times and not sacrificing take off. Lower compression, 2 JZE has a 10:1, and internals that can handle the increased pressure, the IS 300 has the same internals that were used on the turbo charged Supra. So long as we aren't talking about 12 psi or more. If you wanna run a 26 psi system, that is entirely different, and you'll have to start at the bottom of the motor and go forged, polished and balanced etc.etc. and replace the tranny with a either the V-160, ( 10k!!!), or the V-161 or R-154. These will hold over 800 hp with the V-160 holding over a 1000 hp, and it's a 6 speed auto!!!

As for the exhaust, that's up to you. I would have it on the car or put it on at the asmae time as the turbo so you won't have to retune again. And just make sure it's a turbo exhaust.

He has to be running turbo with a juicer. My buddy has a civic pushing 600 rwhp. But his paint job is all ghetto and ricey, so I don't like it. But it's funny as hell killing Mustangs in it. He gets upset because in the IS 300, if I get to say 380-400hp, even with his 600 hp Civic the IS will be alot faster than his, as most of his hp is peak hp and not average hp, which is what the 2JZE motor is sooooooo good at making with a turbo. To give you an example of that, his Civic with 600 hp does 1/4 miles in the upper 13's low 14's. Very fast for a Civic pushing 28 psi. But the IS with 8-10 PSI will jump 1/4's in the high 11's !!! SEEE Ya!!!!!

Cool, more people in the house doin mods!!!! For awhile there I started to lose faith.

o ill be doing alot as soon as i get this kit in its an all turbonetics kit with larger injectors and the plug and play EMS by AEM

the kit does 350 to the wheels with 8psi gain, but the guy there said thats running stock exhuast tho.

so with exhuast ill get much more.

and he also said with tuning and dyno runs the EMS unit can be tuned for much more power gains around 400 +

i wold like also to get adjustible coil overs this winter as well to handle good.

and get lighter rims then my lexanis lol

i know a few local tuners in edmonton here that know a few guys that own canadas fastest supra i can due some dyno runs my one bud said for real cheap soo that will help.

They are the same. Both the 2JZGE and the 2JZGTE use forged crankshafts and connecting rods. Both use cast pistons. The T in the GTE indicated turbo set up. Actually twin trubos that were set up sequentially as opposed to dual like in most other applications.

Due to the strength of the stock engine, the 2JZ series has remained a popular import platform for modification. Stock engine hardware has been known to reliably withstand power levels in excess of 3 times the original power ratings. In drag racing, the Supra and similarly powered 2JZ cars have run competitively against domestic vehicles with up to three times the engine displacement. Drag models of the Lexus GS, Toyota Celica, and Toyota Soarers have used the same engine.

Let me point out that there are other differences in the 2 motor configurations though.

The GTE was an aluminum block and used lower compression non VVTi heads. But to keep costs down, they both use the same internal configuations.
