Drivers Seat And Exiting The Car.

I have a base model 2001 ls430, 65k miles with moon roof.

When I shut the car off, the steering wheel moves up and towards the dash to give you more room to exit the car.

After reading some of the other posts, it sounds like the drivers seat should also be moving back and away when the car is shut off to allow easier exiting.

My drivers seat remains in the position I have it set for while driving. It does not change/move when the car is shut off. Is it broke ?And if so is it an easy fix and not too expensive of a repair. Is this something the dealer would have to fix?

I have driven many different LS430's, both UCF30's and UCF31's, and none have moved the driver's seat back when the key is removed.

Not broken. The seat is not designed to move back - only the steering wheel when the key is removed.

You can program the (#2 driver setting) so the seat goes back to the desired position. Just an idea.......................

My Infinity used to do that. Lexi don't move the seat.
