IS350 Rookie
Recently, I had just reached my destination and shut off the car... I thought I did. The motor turns off but it seems like it is in accesory mode. I can't shut it off. I tried restarting the car and shut it off but the accessory mode stays on. I can't lock the doors. And when I walk away, the dash shows "key not detected." So I take it to a dealer, and, of course, starts to work fine. Has anyone experienced this problem on thier '06 IS350? bartkat
Make sure the car is in park before you shut it off.
IS350 Rookie
I made sure it was in park. I started the car again, moved it back and forth, and then tried to shut it off. Yet, the nav and radio stays on. Right now, the car is working fine but for how long??
bartkat
It needs to go to the shop then. It might be something as simple as an interlock switch.
chughtaijr
I would recommend using a video camera, and recording the problem so the dealer can see it happen.
IS350 Rookie
Thanks guys. I'll try the camera deal and show the dealer.
gwana
Thanks guys. I'll try the camera deal and show the dealer. Try putting in park and hold foot on brake, then hit the stop button. You can turn on your electrical power, like the radio, with out starting the engine, simply by hitting the start button without holding your foot on the brake. So I'm assuming, that by doing it in reverse, might solve your issue.
sjackson
I noticed this post is the exact same issue I am having... did you ever receive a resolution?... from the dealer? Do you know what you were doing to cause the problem??
