1906
2002 430SC - check engine light - got code PO441, PO440, PO446 - Evaproteve emission system had incorrect purge flow... suggested parts - fuel cap replacement. However my fuel cap was on tight and appears to be In good condition, clean with seals looking good. Anyone have any ideas what this might be if anything? I don't like look at engine light. No perceivable issues. Thanks, Joe
Frank DUva
I had the same issue and replaced the purge valve on the intake manifold, drivers' side with no luck. When I took it to the dealer for a 60,000-mile service, the tech said there are three to consider. One by the charcoal evaporator box, by the gas tank, the one I changed and the one that goes into the airbox on the engine, passenger side, which was my issue, it was unplugged. Make sure those under the hood are plugged in and working. Hope this helps
1906
thank for the reply - I just checked visually all those things including the hoses connecting to purge valve. I didn't check the charcoal one. Then took off the negative lead on the battery to rest codes and no engine light now. I never had any other symptoms so we will see if it comes back. Maybe the gas cap just wasn't sealed at one point. thanks again Joe
