Pursuit Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 Hey guys I just purchased an 02' Pearl white ULTRA package LS430 last week. I bought it from a Lexus dealer here in Miami and they recommended I do the 60K mile service when the time comes. (It has 45,000 now). Has anyone done this? What do they do to it and is it worth the $1,100 dollars?:whistles:
RFeldes Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 The details are in your manual..and yes, I recommend you have the dealer do the major maintenance periods as it will pay off in peace of mind as well as resale value down the road. ;)
bicol-ini Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 theyre fairly DIY if youre mechanically inclined, lots of help in the site,
TM8000 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I purchased Lexus Certified Pre-Owned 2003 GX470(not LS) at 51,500 mi on 9/9/06, and I just paid $650 for 60K mi check yesterday. It makes me feel safety. I do not think that $650 is cheap at all but this additional cost is a kind of insurance to me .
Pursuit Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 Thanks for the replies. I am of course going to do the maintenace it recommends, I just didnt know how DIY it was and if paying the dealer was worth it. The only complication I see is the differential fluid and total tranny flush. I may not have the tools to get that far into it. Also what kind of oil are you guys using because I am a die-hard MOBIL 1 fan but I wasnt sure if the LS is ok with synthetic.
