sjc6765 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Does anybody know where the ground for the tail lights is? I think mine is bad,, the headlights dim when I step on the brakes. New alternator and battery. Thanks,, Steve.
sjc6765 Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 If there is only one ground it would be for all of the lights. What is happening is when I have the headlights on, and step on the brakes,, or turn on a turn signal,, the head lights dim for just a second. Also,, during the daylight hours when the headlights are not on,, and I turn on a turn signal,, the heater/ac fan slows down when the turn signals flash. I just replaced the alternator and battery,, and the problem is still there. so I was thinking it was a bad ground for the tail lights, since both the brake, and turn signals use them,, I looked around under the trunk lining, and there is no ground back there. Does anybody have any ideas on what would causing this? Thanks,, Steve.
dcfish Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Anybody?? Replace the ground wire from the battery to the body. There is a thread in the es forum, I think SKperformance started it. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...Search&f=94
SKperformance Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Ground wires are your problem from the engine to the body and fuse block.
