azmalu Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I just went through the most pia maintanence task(so far) on this car of changing out window regulator...woulda been a lot easier with second person to hold window up.. ... Anway I think my problem is related to when i screwed in three screws to the actual glass. I did my best to line up in the middle of the tic tac toe diagram and was happy that after I did this absolutely no air leak noise. Now if i close my door the same way I have been doing for years it doesnt close all the way....but if window rolled down a little bit its okay meaning that my window is up too high. Will this make the glass more frail and susceptible to crack/break? .. What is the proper position in that tic tac toe shaped diagram to tighten screws? I thought I had it right in the middle.
TnLex13 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 There are round stoppers that stop the window from going up to far so just adjust those and everything should be fine.
JCopp Posted June 19 Posted June 19 Malfunctioning Drivers Window Dear Fellow Lexus Owners, I have an 01 Lexus ES300. The drivers side window is malfunctioning in the automatic mode after I had the window regulator replaced. When I click the window control for automatic closing, The window automatically closes and then comes back open, about 6 inches. I have to close the window a little at a time to fully close it. Does anyone else have this problem? What is the solution?
