We own a 2007 Lexus LX470 with 95k miles. We've owned it for around 6 months. The Check Engine, VSC and VSC Lights have all come on and then go off a few days later. This has happened 3 times in 6 months. They all turn on, but then all go off on their own. I have read online where a loose gas cap is sometimes the culprit. We try and make it tight when we refuel, but I have noticed occassionly when I re-check the tightness later, that it has become a little loose. I have not had the codes read yet. I suspect I should do that first to verify that if the gas cap is the problem or not. The other idea I had was to replace the gas cap with a new one. Any additional thoughts?
