mrbutz1 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Searched for this answer, but couldn't find. Power windows in my 94 ES roll up and down smoothly but are slooooow, seemingly getting slower, especially fighting gravity going up. Should I worry about this, or is it normal for a 12 year old car? If cause for worry, what can I do to help them up a little!?
Toysrme Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 pretty common. one of mind does it. sometimes u need to lube the tracks, sometimes lube the motor, sometimes fix the contacts on the switch.
SKperformance Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Get an alternator check as well as replacing your 12 year old ground wires.
mrbutz1 Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Get an alternator check as well as replacing your 12 year old ground wires. Thanks, Gents. Now I have an excuse to learn about getting into the door panels!
SKperformance Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Door panels? I was talkign about battery and engine ground wires .
anthonyiez Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 are all 4 windows moving slower or just the front ones? motor failure is common. you can try lubing the channels to alleviate the strain on the motor a bit.
eman_be_lexin Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 What can be used to lube the tracks? I am having the same problem with mine.
