The leather is simply separating and ruins the exterior appearance of the car. Is this a common design problem others are having? Does anyone have a solution other than buying new headrests? Yes I asked the dealer and was told because it was just out of warranty they could not do anything but repace it at $500 each. Yeah, my 2002 head rest wore off as well, it was still under warranty and I had it replaced at a Lexus dealer. This was back in 2004.
