Yes I asked the dealer and was told because it was just out of warranty they could not do anything but repace it at $500 each. Looking to see if anyone could be more helpful than the Lexus Dealer

The leather on my 02 SC430 rear head rests are deterioating badly. The leather is simply separating and ruins the exterior appearance of the car. Is this a common design problem others are having? Does anyone have a solution other than buying new headrests?
