Sponge like break pedal close to the floor.

Just replace my brakes cut both front & back rotors install new pads, all is good & smooth when stopping .

However the break pedal is sponge like & just about goes to the floor .

I bleed all the lines & replace the master cylender .

What else can I do to improve the brake pedal ?

I suspect you need to rebleed the lines.

There is a Tech story on Bleeding Brakes (maybe another Forum?). Guarantedd you have Air still in the system. The Front bleed valves are very coarse and it is so easy to undo them too far so that as you bleed the fluid out it squirts out of the valve but as you release the brake pedal Air can leak back in around the sides. Been there, done it and still have the 6 bottles of ever so little used brake fluid to remind me of that little episode.

Thanks for all your advice. I will try new brake hoses as per the advice of my mechanic & post the results once the job is completed . Hopefully in a week or so as I have ordered the parts on line & they should arrived on or about August. 23

Also make sure you have the bleeder valve open when pressing the piston back in to remove air and old fluid stuck behind the piston.
