godfather18
What the best Kelvin rating for a HID bulb? Im looking for that ultra hyper white look with a hint or purple
SW03ES
I'd stick with 4100 and get a proper reflector, otherwise they look fake and just blind everybody.
Toysrme
6000K
SKperformance
6000K would be still usuable with the blueish spectrum.
Toysrme
6000K really isn't that blue - it's just whiter once it's warmed up & is a deep purple->light blue as it warms up. Maybe a 6-7K korean bulb get's really blue, but not good bulbs.

Rx330driver
how much K is in a standard HID bulb from lexus, like the ones for my Is300?
Toysrme
4100k
SKperformance
Never said it was blue. It is slightly dimmer than 4300K but has a nicer output range which has the border of a blue hue. Once blue is added you loose the reflective spectrum your eyes see. So the more blue the less you can see on the road. Besides no one makes a quality bulb other than 4300k the closest is a 5000k mid life upgrade bulb which is already colour shifter to match an older bulb.
